Well, just got back from another productive day.
Applied 2 coats of vinyl in preperation for Saturdays lacquer spraying.

The vinyl is really starting to pop the colors and figure of the claro!

I also spent a great portion of my day on the neck. Glued up the
headplate and gave it life with some shaping and sanding.

That was the easy part! Spent the rest of my time with rasp in hand
roughly shaping the neck. Wow, lot's of work. The next builds from here
on out will feature John's necks for sure.

I'm thankful for the experience of having done it but it's not my favorite
thing to do.

Next week, final neck shaping and more finish work to the body.

WOW, Outstanding workmanship Chris! , that part of the build can be hard at first but with the right tools and jigs can become very satisfying.

Keep it up, it's coming along nicely!

Gotta be exciting to see the B&S wood pop out like that! Very pretty.

Is that a Sayers guitar in-the-white hanging next to yours? Interesting heel engraving.

Good work. Personally, I enjoy shaping the neck.

That is really beautiful wood and can't wait to see the finished product.

Carlton,
That guitar behind mine is Fred Convertini's flamenco. He's really good at
carving. Those are grapevines on the heel.
